Project background and scope

This ongoing residential refurbishment in Putney includes first-fix carpentry throughout the property. The case study follows the floor structures, timber partitions and construction-stage progress before final finishes.

The scope included the replacement and strengthening of existing floor joists, installation of new timber floor structures, acoustic insulation and soundproof flooring systems to improve noise performance between levels. New timber partitions were also constructed to form the revised room layouts and prepare the property for the next stages of the refurbishment.

All carpentry works were completed accurately to suit the architectural layout, building regulations and the requirements of the following mechanical, electrical, plastering and finishing trades.
